Shots of the Euro 2024

The images of UEFA EURO 2024 are all about capturing sporting history and celebrating emotions - special goal celebrations, last-minute goals, the breathtaking atmosphere inside and outside the stadiums.

All photographers had until July 16 to submit their best snapshot and take part in the competition. The submitted images were then viewed by a jury and the best ten were selected.Over 2,500 fans then had the opportunity to vote for their favorites via the FanQ voting platform before the results were evaluated and the best pictures were awarded prizes.

Here we present the shots from Euro 2024, from 1st to 10th place:

1. Came back despite a lack of recognition from the German fans and took the German game to another level: Toni Kroos proved once again at his last major tournament what a great player and good leader he is.

2 . The Spanish national team beat England in the final and were crowned not only European champions but also record winners of the competition.

3. Germany's round of 16 match against Denmark was temporarily interrupted due to a thunderstorm and heavy rain. However, the mood in the stands remained sunny.
4. Toni Kroos, one of Germany's greatest footballers, is leaving the international stage. His home town, Greifswald, celebrates the national player's farewell in style
5. Turkey also impressed in terms of play at this EURO, unlike many other teams. However, the Turkish summer fairytale came to an end in the quarter-finals against the Oranje.
6. The Furia Roja celebrate their successful coach. Luis de la Fuente, a tactical mastermind who never wanted to be the center of attention despite his impressive European Championship and beautiful style of play.

7. Portugal goalkeeper Diogo Costa saved all three penalties in the penalty shoot-out against Slovenia. The young goalkeeper thus made European Championship history and helped his team into the quarter-finals.

8. Once again, soccer did not come home: despite reaching another final, the Three Lions once again missed out on their first title win since 1966.
9. Even if Italy's European Championship was not a success from a sporting point of view, there is one thing you can always rely on with the Squadra Azzurra - the passion of the players.

10. Kylian Mbappé remained surprisingly pale at the EURO, scoring just one goal from the spot for the French national team.
